1142-3 My Spring Holidays Plan
Every year in Taiwan, there are several different holidays. This year, from April 3rd through April 6th, we have our Spring Break holiday. During this holiday, my family typically go travelling somewhere. It can be a place near my home like Zhong-Shan Park of Cao-Tun Town or a department store in Taichung County. We usually go hiking or shopping, in other words. Other people can plan for far trips. But that won't be our choice since it takes both too much time and too much money. And this year, my plans are as follows.
On the first day of the spring holiday this year, I’m going to study for the coming mid-term exam of university. The most challenging subject this time is phonetics. Imagine the classifying of those similar symbols. It's so terrifying. Otherwise, I also have to give a presentation according to Amy Tan, the author of a world-known novel, The Joy Luck Club. Even though I've finished reading the book, the professor asked us to give a deep introduction about the cultural background of the author. It will absolutely take time.
On the second day, I'm going to go to visit my junior high school classmate, who is living in Chan-Hua County. While I’m there, I plan to not only stay in his house, but also take a short trip with him around the neighborhood. I hope I can find something interesting and try new food there.
Then, on the third day, I'm going to visit my grandma's house with my mother. Since my mother and I just got the news that Grandma had fallen down and been sent to a hospital, we planned to visit her during the holidays. Thus, before we set off, we must pick something to give her as greetings. We'll soon start choosing items to bring with us.
In conclusion, even though the holiday seems long and free, I've already scheduled every day for them. What's more, I'm going to face the mid-term exam in the following week. Thus I can predict that this holiday won't be so relaxing. At least it will be very busy.
